Arundel Park Residential and Nursing Home is set in Liverpool’s Sefton Park Care Village, providing residential, nursing and palliative care for up to 50 older people.

The home enjoys a welcoming and homely atmosphere, thanks to the dedicated and caring work of our round the clock team.

Our efforts focus on enabling residents to maintain independence and control over their lives where desired. Where support and assistance is needed, our team is always on hand - even if it’s just with the little things like tea and biscuits before bed.

At Arundel Park we actively encourage residents to live in such a way as to fulfil their abilities and we will always work with you to make sure that your cultural diversity and choice is recognised and respected.

We support regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.

The views of our residents are very important to us and we have regular residents meetings to discuss their thoughts and feelings and discuss how we can further improve the service.

Accommodation

We have fifty en-suite bedrooms. There are two dining rooms and two lounges where residents can sit and socialise with other residents. We also have a designated visitor’s lounge where residents can meet friends and family in comparative privacy. We have a hair salon and also have beautiful gardens with a courtyard area which residents can enjoy.

Our team

Our staff are a mix of First Level Nurses, Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants who are all fully trained to offer an efficient educated service. We offer twenty-four-hour care and always have a first level nurse on duty. The staff will help you to settle in and always extend a helping hand when you most need it.

GPs, district nurses, physiotherapists, a hairdresser and opticians visit the home regularly

Activities

Our activities co-ordinator arranges a variety of activities that people can choose to be involved with, both in the home and in the community. Many residents particularly enjoy arts and crafts, bingo, card games and dominoes. We also have knitting and gardening clubs which are always looking for new members to join the fun.

We also love parties at Arundel and enjoy special occasions such as  St Patrick’s Day and St George’s Day, Christmas, Easter and any other occasion that gives us the opportunity to celebrate.

Care and Support

We aim to empower residents to make their own choices about how they live their lives. We believe that every individual irrespective of their physical, social or psychological condition has the right to be treated with dignity and respect and supported to maintain choice and control over their own lives.

Taking the first step into a new home can be a very emotional time for both the resident and their families. However, the staff at Arundel Park will always offer you a friendly welcome, be sympathetic to your feelings at all times and turn the process into a positive experience.

We understand that people bring with them a life story of achievements, events and experiences. We know that this information is essential to ensure a tailored care package for each individual’s specific needs.

We ensure that our person-centred assessments are all tailored to the whole person and we will look at what people can do, not just what they need assistance with.

Most importantly we ensure that the individual themselves and their loved ones help us to put together a bespoke plan of care.

Home-cooked meals

Meal times are an important part of the day at Arundel Park. Our meal times are protected to enable residents to enjoy their meals without interruption. Our experienced catering staff prepare a menu of home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective.
