Greenheys Lodge Residential Care Home is located in Liverpool and provides personalised residential and dementia care for up to 33 older people. The home offers the highest standard of care and access to a variety of services, activities and facilities designed to support people to increase their confidence and independence.
Keeping active is an important part of life at Greenheys Lodge and we ensure we focus our care planning around the health and well-being of our residents. Our qualified staff team ensure that the personal needs of our residents are constantly being met by creating a bespoke care plan with the support of those closest to them.
Greenheys Lodge has thirty-three bedrooms which are all fitted with en-suite facilities. Each of the bedrooms has a telephone point so that people can regularly keep in touch with their friends and family. Here at Greenheys, we want our residents to feel at home so we encourage people to bring with them photos and other memorabilia to decorate their room with. We have four lounges and a dining room where individuals can socialise and join in with activities. There is also space to relax for those that want some quiet time.
Our beautiful gardens have been carefully developed by both staff and residents. People can enjoy the variety of plants in the gardens and become involved with outdoor activities.
The home is conveniently positioned for access to local shops, public transport routes and has on-site car parking. Greenheys is situated on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre, approximately 15 minutes away by bus.
Our care team are on-hand 24 hours a day, every day of the year and are dedicated to delivering care with kindness.
To ensure we continue to provide the best standards of care and support to our residents, we recruit and train only the best staff.
Whilst they receive a variety of on-going training to ensure their skills remain up-to-date, along with an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB), it is their dedication to our residents which makes them truly special.
Activities are a fundamental part of life at Greenheys and we offer a wide variety of leisure, social and recreational activities that are organised by our Activities Co-ordinator. The activities offered are very much based on individual choice and interest.
Our residents enjoy day trips to local places of interest, lunch clubs with people in the local community, afternoon tea, shopping and trips to the theatre or cinema. In addition, we are lucky to be visited by local choirs and guides groups as well as volunteers who support with activities such as bowls and table tennis.
We also encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups whilst encouraging friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
Each resident plays a major part in how our home environment is created and run.
They have brought aspects of their own personalities, likes, dislikes, interests and hobbies with them and this helps to shape everyday life at Greenheys
We focus on the individual and their needs and choices which remain at the heart of our therapies and activities. Our staff will encourage and motivate people without compromising their privacy or dignity and enable them to increase their own levels of independence.
We ensure that our person-centred assessments are all tailored to the whole person and we will look at what people can do, not just what they need assistance with. Most importantly we ensure that the individual themselves and their loved ones help us to put together a bespoke plan of care. We appreciate how difficult the decision is to move into permanent or even short stay care and we aim to make this transition as easy as possible for everyone.
Meals are an important part of the day at Greenheys Lodge and it is essential that the people we support have access to healthy food. Our expert catering team prepare a balanced and varied menu of fresh home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes. For residents who have difficulties swallowing their foods, our chefs ensure that their meals are modified to suit their palates. The catering team have maintained a 5-star rating for a number of years.
