Park Lodge Care Home provides specialist support for up to seven adults who have learning disabilities, autism and/or challenging behaviour.

Our person-centred approach ensures that people are supported to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible.

Accommodation

At Park Lodge, we have seven spacious bedrooms which are all decorated to the individuals’ preferences and two large shower rooms and a specialist bathroom.

We have a large living room where people can relax and socialise, a multi-sensory room that provides a calming and therapeutic space. The building is fully wheelchair accessible and has an overhead hoist as well as mobile hoists.

Park Lodge is set in the middle of a woodland area approximately eight miles from the heart of Aberdeen City centre. The lush grounds surrounding Park Lodge include a garden and acres of woodland.

There are historical points of interest within the grounds of Park Lodge such as Kirkton House and the ruins of Kirkton Chapel. Kirkton of Skene is about a three-minute walk away, there is a village shop, pub and community hall.

Our team

Our highly trained, experienced and friendly staff team includes qualified nurses and support staff who encourage and motivate people without compromising their privacy or dignity. Staff are always available to discuss anything and we encourage and value input from relatives too.

Activities

At Park Lodge, people are supported to take part in an extensive range of leisure and recreational activities that are very much based on the individual’s choice and interests. These include day trips all over Scotland, Edinburgh Zoo, Glasgow, St Andrews and Aviemore. People can also take part in Karaoke, giant board games, dancing, baking and listening to music. Visits to family and friends are always encouraged and service users are involved with the local community, doing weekly visit to the local shops and schoolhouse midweek mayhem.

Birthdays and special events at Park Lodge are celebrated and there are also Halloween and Christmas parties which are always great fun.
