Jade’s boots were made for walking!
Jade Mealing, a care assistant from Don Thomson House Residential Care Home, a care home in Harwich has been limbering up to raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Jade will be stomping 26 miles around London as she takes part in Alzheimer’s Society Trek26 event on Saturday 1 June, to raise money for the national charity.
Explaining she is enjoying the training so far and is proud to be making a difference, Jade said: “I can’t wait to take part in the Trek26, I have been training when I can and I’m ready to take part. It will be good when I cross the finish line knowing I have done my bit for the Alzheimer’s Society which in my opinion is an underfunded charity.
“It will be so motivating to know that every step I take will make a small difference to help enable those living with dementia!”
Jade has already smashed her target of £300 but is still calling for donations. If you would like to donate, please visit her Just Giving page on the following link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jade-mealing?utm_source=Facebook
