We are supporting a group of staff on their journey to becoming a Registered Nurse. We have a number of staff who are studying for the Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship, and others completing their Nursing Associate Apprenticeship.
Once qualified, this will give them the option to start a Registered Nurse programme.
All our Nurses are given training and development opportunities. This includes clinical skills training and leadership and management skills. They are fully supported through the revalidation process.
For our international recruitment you too could be part of a successful International Nurse Recruitment Programme, which has recently welcomed the 100th nurse.
Leadership and Management Development
Here at Sanctuary Care we are committed to ‘enriching your career’, by supporting and developing our Managers to lead a team to deliver the very best care.
All Managers receive a face to face comprehensive induction and access to skills for care endorsed training.
As a skills for care endorsed provider Home Managers attend the four-day ‘Well led’ programme, whilst Deputy Managers attend the four-day ‘Lead to Succeed’ programme.
Senior Managers can be part of the skills for care ‘Inspire’ programme and regular performance reviews ensure your career is on the track you choose.
Staff Training and Development
To continue to deliver excellent care all our staff receive a blended learning approach to training. A comprehensive eLearning lays the foundation for learning, whilst face to face training improves their skills, knowledge and attitude in an experiential learning environment.

Through regular meaningful conversations, we will ensure all opportunities are seized to enable you to reach your full potential. Regular mentoring and coaching by your peers and Managers will support you to fulfil your career aspirations.
Our dedicated Qualifications team delivers a range of qualifications at various levels. We are an in-house, nationally recognised qualification centre, accredited by City & Guilds, the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Scottish Qualifications Authority. We are extremely proud of our achievements and good success rates, and strive to consistently improve our standard of delivery for all our staff.
As a qualifications centre, we have a number of social care qualifications available to enhance your career:

- Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
