Be prepared to go down the rabbit hole when an Alice in Wonderland-inspired Mad Hatter’s tea party takes place at a Sanctuary Care home.
Local people are invited to Ravenhurst Residential Care Home’s Time for a Cuppa event on Wednesday 5 March, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, to support Dementia UK.
The team will dress as characters from Alice in Wonderland – with activities leader Carla Siwicki grinning from ear to ear as the Cheshire Cat.
The home, which provides care for the elderly, including residential care and dementia care, will look spectacular with stunning decorations, including hand-painted vintage cups and saucers and pink flamingos.
The home’s manager David Armstrong said: “The team here love to dress up so we are thrilled to be having fun and raising money for such a fantastic cause.”
Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s annual fundraising event; a national day which brings people together to raise money for Admiral Nurses, mental health nurses who specialise in dementia care.
This event has been funded by the MoneyBox Fund at Sanctuary Group, which support groups and organisations to deliver activities within their community.
