The team at a Sanctuary Care home in Pershore were transported to a dreamy slumberland with a ‘tea-cosy’-themed fundraising pyjama tea party.
People from the local community popped along to a Time for a Cuppa event at Heathlands Residential Care Home, which provides care for the elderly, including residential care and dementia care recently.
For a small donation the team donned their pjs, dressing gowns and onesies to raise extra funds for Dementia UK.
In addition to the more relaxed attire, there were party games – including pin the cherry on the cake - and an abundance of mouth-watering cakes.
Following the event, which took place during March’s Time for a Cuppa week, home manager Anita Fletcher said: “Our residents really enjoyed the fun and games and of course the cake!
“There was a fantastic atmosphere and we were thrilled to raise nearly £80 for a very worthwhile cause, supporting people living with dementia and their families.”
Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s national fundraising event. It brings people together to raise money for the provision of nurses specialising in dementia care.
