Green-fingered residents have been involved in a garden makeover at their Sanctuary Care home in Chesterton.
The team at Broadmeadow Court Residential Care Home have been planting, preening and pruning to create a garden their residents can be proud of.
Meanwhile an edible garden has been created at the back, with lettuces, strawberries, spring onions and radishes.
Resident Ivy Copper, who is 86-years-old said: “I am really looking forward to getting out in the garden and watching things grow.”
The home’s activities leader Lesley Buckley said: “Our residents have absolutely loved seeing the transformation and cannot wait to watch the flowers bloom.”
Helping with the makeover have been members of the team at Sanctuary Maintenance, who helped to clear and prepare the ground ahead of the planting.
