A talented Sanctuary Care chef has got his peers’ taste buds tingling during a cookery workshop at national catering event.
Mark Ord, Hospitality Support Manager with Sanctuary Care, gave a live cookery demonstration at the Cost Sector Catering Live 2014 exhibition recently.
The event, at London’s Hotelympia, was part of Care Catering Day, where chefs showcase dishes to their peers, inspiring them when cooking for their own residents.
Mark, who was assisted by fellow Sanctuary Care Hospital Support Manager Chris Hilliard, revealed inspirational ways to maximise flavour in traditional dishes that can be prepared in just 15 minutes.
He said: “It was a real privilege to be asked to show off what we do and also great to know that we have inspired colleagues from other care providers – who will hopefully go on to use this knowledge when cooking for their residents.”
He was also instrumental in launching Sanctuary Care’s Chefs’ Academy, where chefs share new ideas and further develop their skills.
