There were cuddly creatures galore when four-legged and feathered friends from a local minifarm visited a Sanctuary Care day care centre in Droitwich.
Clients at Westmead Day Care in Westmead Close recently received visitors of the furry variety when Gloverspiece Minifarm dropped in with their indoor animal road show.
Among the guests were giant rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, a chicken, duck and even sheep.
She said: “Our clients absolutely loved the visit – to see the smiles on their faces as they held these gorgeous creatures was just wonderful to watch and we would definitely welcome them back again.”
Cathy Eva, who is 76 and has been coming to the centre for five years, adored the giant rabbits.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the visit - it was very relaxing and so nice to have contact with the animals,” she said.
Meanwhile Frank Simmonds, who has been a client at the centre for ten years enjoyed holding the chinchillas.
The 76-year-old added: “It was absolutely smashing and I would love to have taken one of the animals home.”
Set up five years ago, Gloverspiece Minifarm is situated in Ladywood, between Droitwich and Worcester. As the farm started to rescue animals, the collection grew and now includes everything from Geese and chickens to alpacas and ponies.
