Cruella De Vil and Snow White will be tucking into tea and cake at a Sanctuary Care home’s Disney-themed fundraiser.
Local people are invited to Hastings Residential Care Home’s event on Saturday (6 September 10.30am-11.45am).
The team, who provide residential care, dementia care and respite care, will dress as their favourite characters, with Terri Cottrell as Cruella De Vil, Cathy Thurlow as Snow White and Dan Bird as Robin Hood.
Visitors are invited to wear fancy dress – with donations on the day boosting the fundraising efforts.
The event will raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice, a charity that provides vital care and support to local children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions.
There will be Disney-themed cupcakes and live music with classics such as Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Bare Necessities.
A piece of artwork featuring Beauty and the Beast, created by local artist Tor Upson will be up for grabs in the raffle.
Home manager Sue Milward said: “Acorns is an incredible charity which provides a lifeline to some very brave local youngsters and their families, so please come and support us on the day to raise as much money as possible to support the amazing work they do.”
Acorns cares and supports children and young people at its three regional hospices, including its Worcester site and has a community team, which provides support for families 24-hours a day seven days a week.
The charity provides its services for free so relies entirely on public fundraising and voluntary donations.
The home’s address is:130 Barnard’s Green Road, Malvern, WR14 3NA.
