There will be an all singing, all dancing celebration when residents of a Sanctuary Care home in Leicester invite local people along to their fun day.
To celebrate the completion of internal refurbishment works in their home, residents at Asra House Residential Care Home in Asha Margh are welcoming people from the local community to a special event on Saturday 11 October, between noon and 6pm.
There will be live Bollywood music from Saturn, plus from 2pm visitors can enjoy traditional Garba dancing, a stunning form of dance that originated in the Indian state of Gujarat.
Manager at the home, which provides residential care and dementia care, Irene Chand said: “Our home looks absolutely stunning so we are really looking forward to welcoming some new and familiar faces along to celebrate this special day with us.”
There will also be stalls selling delicious Indian cuisine, including biryani and chaats, a bouncy castle and henna hand art.
Local health experts will also be on hand offering free hearing and diabetes checks, as well as providing advice and information.
