Sanctuary Care residents in Sawston have been sitting back to enjoy their favourite musical films this week.
The Local Cinema group dropped by to take the team and residents at Orchard House Residential Care Home in High Street on a musical journey by projecting old-time classics on the big screen.
Favourite films and popcorn
Sitting back to their favourite musical, residents, who were joined by friends and family, were armed with buckets of tasty popcorn.
Orchard House resident, Catherine Collins, said: “The cinema show was really funny, I couldn’t stop smiling and would love to see it again”, with fellow resident, Edith Brook, adding: “It was a lovely morning, the show was very good and it was nice to enjoy it with everyone.”
Bringing back memories
The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader, Megan Eusden, concluded: “The residents had a fantastic time – there was laughter throughout. Many of our residents haven’t been to the pictures in a very long time, so having the cinema come to us brought back some wonderful memories!”
