Residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Worcester will be turning back to the clock to the era of flower power and peace at their 1960s themed summer fete.
Open for Family Fun
On Saturday (15 August), between 2pm and 5pm, Regent Residential Care Home in School Road, St John’s will be a sea of floral prints and tie dye when the team and residents welcome people from the local community to their summer fete.
In keeping with the fancy dress theme, there will be a contest for children to dress as their favourite superhero, plus a bouncy castle and henna art.
With stalls galore, a barbecue and ice creams, there will be something for all the family to enjoy.
Activities leader at the home, which provides residential care and dementia care, Bridie Gray said: “The team and residents love our annual fete. It is a wonderful way to celebrate the summer and invite people from the local community along to share a special day with us.
“There is no need to dress in flower power or psychedelic patterns if you prefer not to, but the more the merrier!”
