Christmas will be coming early at a number of Sanctuary Care homes up and down the country this weekend.
Stalls galore in Oxfordshire
Their yuletide events will include stalls selling mouth-watering cakes, mince pies, homemade cards and other items, as well as a tombola, a raffle and other festive festivities.
Christmas greetings in Worcestershire
Residents at Hastings Residential Care Home have been rolling up their sleeves to make beautiful festive decorations to sell at the Pershore-based home’s annual bazaar.
While, Heathlands Residential Care Home will be serving delicious mince pies for visitors while they pick up a Christmas treat or two at the home.
Father Christmas in the South West
The Rosary Nursing Home in Bridgwater will be receiving a very special visit from Father Christmas, who will be saying hello to the younger generation from the home’s winter wonderland grotto.
Meanwhile in Devon, Ivydene Residential and Nursing Home will be joined by Ivybridge Theatre Group and Lucia School of Dance at their Christmas fayre, where they will be on hand to perform, sing popular carols and read festive poems.
Fayres in London and the Midlands
Similarly, Haven Residential Care Home in Middlesex, Lime Tree Court Residential Care in Wolverhampton and Redhill Court Residential Care Home in Birmingham are also hosting festive-filled community events.
Activities leader at the Haven, Urvashi Kapur, said: “Our annual event is always a wonderful way to start the countdown to the festive period. The decorations will be up and there will be the chance to do some early Christmas shopping.”
