There will be glad rags galore when the team and residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Worcester invite people from the community to enjoy a celebration fit for The Queen.
Juniper House Residential Care Home will be hosting a royal celebration tomorrow (Thursday 21 April) to mark Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
People from the community are invited to drop into the free event at the home, in Oak View Way off Bromyard Road, St John’s and enjoy live music from duo Glam Sparrow, plus a delicious buffet and cakes.
The home, which provides residential care and dementia care, will be decked in suitably regal attire and the residents have been making their own crowns, royal sceptres and tiaras, which they will wear and wave with pride.
The day will also be extra special for one of the home’s residents Lynn Jones, who will be celebrating her 87th birthday.
Manager Cindy Hawkins said: “Our residents are very excited about their regal celebration and are really looking forward to welcoming people from the community along to a party that will truly be fit for The Queen.”
Meanwhile, on Thursday 5 May the home will be inviting people from the community along again for a free dementia support event, taking place between 6pm and 8pm.
The event will give people, in particular those who care for a loved one living with dementia or have personal experience of the effects of dementia, the opportunity to meet people in a similar position, find out more about the support available to them and spend a couple of hours talking and enjoying the wine and canapés available.
The address for those wishing to attend is:Juniper House Residential Care Home, 2 Oak View Way, Worcester, WR2 5FJ.
