Residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Worcester are inviting people from the local community to limber up with them at free gentle weekly exercise sessions.
The sessions, which take place every Friday at Regent Residential Care Home in School Road, St John’s between 11am and 12.30pm, are a great way for local people to come along and enjoy some healthy stretching and chair-based exercises.
Following the first session, which took place last week, the home’s manager Jemma Robinson said: “Our residents absolutely loved this and enjoyed every minute of it. The sessions are suitable for all abilities and we use fantastic music and props to make it fun and colourful, including giant balloons, bubbles – and even boxing gloves!”

Meanwhile fellow resident Joy Cleasby, who is 88 added: “I found hitting the boxing gloves surprisingly satisfying. I'm looking forward to next week already.”
