Residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Worcester have been enjoying flower power thanks to generous donations from supermarket Sainsbury’s.
The team and residents at Regent Residential Care Home in St John’s have been enjoying the scent of summer thanks to beautiful bouquets of flowers donated by the St John’s branch, which is located close to the School Road home.
Manager at the Sanctuary Care home, which provides residential care and dementia care, Jemma Robinson said: “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of Sainsbury’s. The flowers are so beautiful and our residents and the team have loved recreating their own floral displays with them.”
Each week the store is donating bunches of flowers that have just reached their sell by date, although they often still look fresh for days after they arrive.
