Sanctuary Care’s care homes across London will be hosting fabulous community days, including birthday parties fit for The Queen for Care Home Open Day tomorrow (Friday 17 June).
Friday 17 June marks the fourth annual Care Home Open Day, when homes nationwide welcome people to share a special day with their teams and residents, forging lasting links with their local communities.

In Harrow, the team at Rowanweald Residential and Nursing Home will be hosting a vintage 1950s tea party, with special VIP guest.
There will be live music from singer Bev Cassidy and David Bedford OBE will be joining the festivities.
Betty Samuels, who turned 90 this week, said: “We always enjoy special days here and I’m looking forward to another celebration.”
Finally in Greenwich, the team and residents at Riverlee Residential and Nursing Home are hosting a regal inspired royal street party to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday.
In the morning the team and residents will be dressing as Her Majesty, as well as adorning fancy hats. From 2.30pm there will be live music from Marinda Richard to sing along and dance to.
There will also be games to take part in plus sandwiches, cakes and refreshments in return for a small donation.
Stepney – please not this event is taking place on Saturday 18 June
To celebrate Care Home Open Day, the team and residents at Hawthorn Green Residential and Nursing Home in Stepney will be hosting a fun filled barbecue for all ages to enjoy on Saturday 18 June at 11am.
There will be live steel band music and Irish dancing entertainment in the afternoon, as well as face painting for the children to enjoy and stalls galore.
Delicious refreshments from the barbecue will be served from 12pm and there will also be a raffle to part in. There will be a small entry fee which includes barbecue food and a strip of five raffle tickets.
