Residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Chester received the VIP treatment recently when they were chauffeur driven to afternoon tea in four exquisite classic cars.
Last week 19 residents from Upton Dene Residential and Nursing Home, which provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care, arrived for afternoon tea at a local hotel in spectacular style thanks to Chester Wedding Cars, who provided four stunning cars completely free of charge.
The residents were thrilled when the vintage classics – two Rolls Royces, an Austin Princess and a Daimler limousine - pulled up outside the home, with four drivers suited and booted to take them to Inglewood Manor in Chester, where they enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea.
The home’s deputy manager Siobhan Christie said: “The residents absolutely loved their outing – the cars were just magnificent and the drivers were wonderful and really gave them the VIP treatment – thank you so much to Chester Wedding Cars for such a special treat!”
One of the home’s residents who enjoyed the trip was Margaret Churchton, who said: “The drivers were real gentlemen – I had a lovely day and the hotel staff were lovely.”
Meanwhile fellow resident Elsie Bousfield commented: “We enjoyed the journey, the cars were lovely.”
Resident Doreen Vardy added: “It was a lovely day out and we really enjoyed it.”
