By now you all know what Richard Burt, Sanctuary Care’s cycling hero challenge is all about: 100 hills + £50K for Dementia UK = heart-warming challenge in honour of his mum, Peggy.
After months of blogging and tweeting, and for Richard solid training, the challenge is finally here and it all starts tomorrow, in less than 24 hours – on Dover’s Hill in Gloucestershire at 8am to be precise.
The next record-breaking 12 days will see Richard and his team of cycling volunteers hit up to 12 hills a day, with many days involving over 13 solid hours of cycling and travelling – not a walk in the park to say the least.
Before getting to this point, Richard has been busy training and ‘spreading the word’ of his campaign from hosting a tea party to visiting Sanctuary Care’s Hawthorn Green Residential and Nursing Home during National Bike Week with author Simon Warren – it’s been all go!
Less than 24 hours to go!
So with less than 24 hours to go, everyone at Sanctuary Care, wanted to take this opportunity to say good luck Richard – we know you can do it!
While Richard is busy hitting hills across the UK, his web page and Sanctuary Group’s Twitter account (@SanctuaryPR) will be the place to be as there will be daily updates – including how he’s getting on and even the occasional selfie – so don’t miss out.
