A Sanctuary Care home in Greenwich transformed into a scene out of a Broadway movie when they hosted a community day to remember.
There was glitz and glam galore when Riverlee Residential and Nursing Home in Franklin Close hosted a ‘cabaret day’ for the community to enjoy..
The team and residents were dressed to the nines in vibrant cabaret attire including beautiful headpieces complete with colourful feathers, when they welcomed the community along to enjoy leg-kicking entertainment from Ensa Entertainment, who performed well-known cabaret hits.
Provoking heart-warming memories of their love of Broadway, residents described the day as “perfect”.
Diana Knowles, 72 said: “I really enjoyed our cabaret day, I loved dressing up and seeing everyone have a good time.”
Fellow resident Queenie Stanley, 93 added: “I adore the cabaret, especially the costumes and dressing up. I used to love watching all the films!”
The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader Tina Suleiman said: “The day was bright and wonderful with lots of smiles, fantastic costumes and lively music. It really did feel like we were in Broadway with great company and delicious food – it was such a special day, what better way to mark a sunny day!”
