Sanctuary Care’s first ever Silver Sunday (2 October) was a huge success, with the teams and residents in all of our 69 care homes hosting splendid tea parties for our residents and older people from their local communities to enjoy.
Sanctuary Care’s Director of Care Operations Stephen Rees said: “We were enormously proud to champion Silver Sunday this year - hosting simultaneous tea dances across all of our homes was a first for us.”
Here are a few of the photographs that have come in so far, showing what a fantastic time we all had:
Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home in Hertfordshire went back to the era of rock and roll with a 1950s inspired party.
Everyone at a Meadows House Residential and Nursing Home in London enjoyed a 1940s Hollywood themed celebration.
At Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home in Oxfordshire there was a 1930’s jazz event.
There were polka dots galore at Regent Residential Care Home’s 1940s-inspired event in Worcester.
