The sound of bells and jingles filled a Sanctuary Care home in Chester when a local bell ringer group dropped by.
As part of the home’s 25-day advent count-down – where the team are hosting Christmas themed activities throughout December, the Caldecott Close home enjoyed festive favourites including Jingle Bells, O Little Town of Bethlehem and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
Following the performance, residents and the ringers enjoyed festive refreshments and cakes.
91-year-old resident Doreen Vardy said: “The hand bells sounded lovely, they sounded so Christmassy and it made for a wonderful afternoon.”
The Sanctuary Care home’s manager Matthew Bell said: “The Pulford Handbell Ringers pulled out all the stops to put on quite the performance – everyone was tapping along and guessing the tune. It made for a wonderfully festive afternoon, enjoyed by all.”
