The sweet treats will be baked to perfection ready for an Alice in Wonderland-inspired Time for a Cuppa tea party at a Sanctuary Care home in Bushbury, Wolverhampton.
Fabulous hats and dainty cakes
On Thursday 2 March between 1pm and 3.30pm, the team at Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home in Old Fallings Lane will be dressed to impress as characters from the Lewis Carroll classic to welcome people from the local community along to their Dementia UK fundraiser.
There will be an abundance of sweet treats and live music from Tom Wenlock, when residents and the team will don fabulous hats.
The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader Jayne Woods said: “Every year we always host a fun-filled Time for a Cuppa tea party to support Dementia UK and this year will be no different. There will be fun fancy dress, delicious cakes and great music, so please do come along and support us in our fundraising efforts.”
Further festivities in Wolverhampton
Elsewhere in Wolverhampton, Lime Tree Court Residential Care Home in Ettingshall Road, Bilston will be hosting a similar themed ‘Alice in Wonderland’ inspired event for Time for a Cuppa on Wednesday 1 March, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
While, East Park Court Residential Care Home in Holloway Street will be celebrating Bilston’s history in fancy dress on Thursday 2 March, from 10.30am to noon and 2pm to 4pm.

About Time for a Cuppa
Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s annual fundraising event; a national day which brings people together over a cuppa to raise money for the charity, which the charity will use to fund Admiral Nurses, specialist dementia nurses who provide care, advice and support to families living with dementia.
