The team and residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Chester will be raising a cuppa and baking sweet treats for a charity close to their hearts.
For this year’s Time for a Cuppa, the team and residents at Upton Dene Residential and Nursing Home in Caldecott Close are inviting local people to a fabulous tea party in aid of Dementia UK on Wednesday 8 March, between 10am and 3pm.
Sweet treats and fun activities for Dementia UK
Visitors are invited to pop along and enjoy a hot drink and a selection of sweet treats and dainty cakes in return for a donation to Dementia UK.
There will also be a variety of fun activities to take part in including art classes, skittles and parachute exercises [seated exercise with colourful props including a large parachute and balls].

The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader Bernie Harding said: “Dementia UK is a charity close to all of our hearts here at Upton Dene so we hope as many people as possible can join us for our fundraising efforts as there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
92-year-old resident Doreen Vardy (pictured) said: “I can’t wait, the activities will be fab but more importantly the homemade cakes will be delicious.”
