A Sanctuary Care home in Bushbury, Wolverhampton is getting set for an egg-cellent Easter with a feast of celebrations.
Easter fayre – Saturday 8 April
Starting this weekend, people from the community are invited to drop into Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home’s Easter Fayre in Old Fallings Lane anytime between 2.15pm and 4pm on Saturday (8 April).
There will be stalls galore including a tombola and raffle, as well as Easter-themed arts and crafts and mouth-watering refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
Easter Bonnet Parade – Monday 17 April
Meanwhile on Easter Monday (17 April) at 2pm, local families are invited to join the home’s annual Easter Bonnet Parade, where residents will be showing off their homemade Easter headwear for the special occasion.
There will also be live music to enjoy from Tom Wenlock and visitors are encouraged to come along in their own finest bonnet for the special occasion.
Wonderful time of year
Resident Amy Oakley, 94, who has eagerly rolled up her sleeves to make her Easter bonnet, said: “I love this time of year, I love to see all the gardens starting to blossom and love to celebrate Easter, seeing all the wonderful bonnets.”
Activities leader Jayne Woods said: “Easter is a wonderful time of year, our residents have many fond memories of celebrating Easter with their families so we always look to celebrate in style every year. There will be fabulous activities, mouth-watering treats and more importantly a lot of fun and cheer!”
