Residents in Wantage are being invited to meet a special four-legged friend, as part of a new monthly social club hosted by Age UK Oxfordshire.
Taking place at Sanctuary Care’s Wantage Nursing Home in Garston Lane on Monday 10 April, 2pm – 4pm, the team, residents and members from Age UK Oxfordshire are throwing open the doors to invite local people along to learn more about Guide Dogs as well as meeting a retired pooch, who is looking forward to some fuss.
The nursing home will be raising awareness of the value of working and assistance companion animals during National Pet Month, which takes place from 1 April 2017 to 1 May 2017.
Monthly social afternoons
The Guide Dog session is part of a monthly social afternoon at Wantage Nursing Home, where Age UK Oxfordshire will host a varied programme of entertainment and activities, as well as being a great way to meet new people in the area.
All ages are welcome and delicious mouth-watering refreshments are also available.
