146 Easter eggs
Charlie Brown and Sarah Macrides from XPO Logisitcs hand delivered the 146 Easter eggs over to the Hospice’s reception volunteer June Eyles.
The chocolates treats were enough to go around all of the Hospice’s patients, staff and volunteers, as well as residents at Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home in Tamblin Way.

Kirsty Hill, Team Leader at the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit said “We can’t thank Charlie and his team at XOP Logistics and Iceland enough. It really brightened our day and was very generous of them.”
The Sanctuary Care’s home manager Mary Tolladay said: “We were just overwhelmed with the kindness from XPO Logistics – our residents were smiling from ear to ear as they thought it was such a lovely gesture and they can’t wait to tuck in on Easter Sunday.”

87-year-old Hatifeld Residential and Nursing Home resident Jean Taylor said: “Whoever’s idea it was, I think it’s a wondeful idea – a very kind thought indeed.”
Fellow Hatifeld Residential and Nursing Home resident Sylvia Phillipa, 85, said of the news: “Oh how exciting, I love Easter and especially all of the chocolate!”
