A Sanctuary Care home in Hersden will be celebrating the importance of friendship next week, when the team and residents host a Care Home Open Day celebration.
On Friday 16 June, between 10:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm, the team and residents at Sanctuary Care’s Meadow View Residential Care Home will welcome people from the community along for a very special occasion.
The fine china will be out, the floral bunting will be hung and an abundance of mouth-watering high-tea refreshments including homemade cupcakes will be available when the Blackthorn Road home throw open the doors.
Friendship bracelets and much more!
In keeping with this year’s theme of friendship, in the morning residents will be making beautiful friendship bracelets to exchange with visitors, while in the afternoon they will be rolling up their sleeves to lovingly create friendship coasters which will be complete with pictures of current and former friends.
The Sanctuary Care home’s manager Matt Wood said: “Our residents really do value the importance of friendship – whether that’s celebrating a lifelong friend or making a new one, so we do hope as many people from the community joins us for what promises to be a really memorable day.”
The address for those wishing to attend is: Meadow View Residential Care Home, Blackthorn Road, Hersden, Canterbury CT3 4GB.
