There will be fabulous frocks, vintage crockery, music and memories created when a Sanctuary Care home in Redditch celebrate Care Home Open Day next week.
On Friday 16 June, between 10:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm, people from the local community are invited to Brambles Residential Care Home in Birchfield Road to enjoy a very special celebration.
Live music and fabulous frocks
There will be toe-tapping live music from a local artist who is set to perform a variety of vintage classics in the morning, followed by mouth-watering high-tea refreshments for all to enjoy in the afternoon.
The home’s team will also be dressed to impress in their finest vintage attire with polka dots and a-line skirts galore, while residents will adorn beautiful accessories including fascinator for the ladies.
Brambles’ activities leader Fiona Morsy said: “Our residents adore rolling back the clock and celebrating in vintage style and really look forward to meeting new people. We hope as many people from the local community can join us for what promises to be a very special celebration.”
“…I have many fond memories so can’t wait to celebrate…”
102-year-old resident Doris Hill added: “The dresses are so beautiful from that time and I have so many fond memories as well, I can’t wait to celebrate – I’m really looking forward to it.”
Fellow resident Peter Worwood, 72, commented on the vintage fashion saying: “I really like the dress up!”
The address for those wishing to attend is Birchfield Road, Headless Cross, Redditch, B97 4LX.
