A Sanctuary Care home in Harrow will be bringing the Great British seaside into the heart of their home for Care Home Open Day this week.
On Friday 16 June, between 10:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm, people from the local community are invited to Rowanweald Residential and Nursing Home to enjoy a very special celebration.
Seaside fun and fond memories
The Weald Lane home will transform into a seaside scene as they host a nostalgic day of summer memories, sharing their fondest moments of family vacations across the decades with vintage memorabilia, fun quizzes and more.
There will also be live music in the afternoon from entertainment group ‘Tea & Memories’ who will be performing toe-tapping summer holiday classics, while special VIP guest Councillor Sachin Shah will also be attending.
Mouth-watering high-tea refreshments will also be available.
Rowanweald’s home manager Noreen Adedeji said: “Our residents have so many wonderful and magical memories of when they enjoyed summer holidays with their families so we hope as many people from the local community can join us to hear these memories for what promises to be a very special celebration.”
