There will be live music, 50s frocks and an abundance of fabulous food when a Sanctuary Care home in Hertfordshire celebrates Silver Sunday.
This Sunday 1 October, between 2pm and 4pm, older people from the local community and their families are invited to Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home in Tamblin Way, where the team and residents will be 1950s Rock ‘n’ Roll themed celebration.
For Sanctuary Care, this year’s Silver Sunday is extra special, because it marks the start of the 20th anniversary of when we started delivering care.
The Hatfield home is throwing open the doors, with residents and the team welcoming the community to join them for live music from across the decade and a delicious high tea menu for everyone to enjoy, with a variety of finger sandwiches and cakes. The team will also be stepping back in time as they dress for the rolled back occasion.
The home’s manager Mary Tolladay said: “We are all really looking forward to this year’s Silver Sunday event, celebrating our residents and local older people. We hope to see lots of new and familiar faces for what promises to be a very special occasion.”
The address for those wishing to attend is Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home, Tamblin Way, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 6SU.
