There will be live music, fabulous frocks and scrumptious food as a Sanctuary Care home in Hull throw open the doors this Silver Sunday.
On Sunday 1 October, between 2pm and 4pm, the local community are invited to Ashdale Lodge Residential Care Home on Wheeler Street, where the team and residents are holding a ‘music through the decades’ themed event.
For Sanctuary Care, this year’s Silver Sunday is extra special, because it marks the start of the 20th anniversary of when we started delivering care.
Taking a trip down memory lane, the residents and team are welcoming older people for an afternoon of reminiscence, with live music from the 40s, 50s and 60s and a delicious high tea menu for everyone to enjoy, with a variety of finger sandwiches and cakes.
The Sanctuary Care home’s manager Lynn Buxton said: “Our residents are really looking forward to our Silver Sunday event and are really excited about welcoming new and familiar faces from the community to join us for this special afternoon.”
The address for those wishing to attend is Ashdale Lodge Residential Care Home, 2 Wheeler Street, Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 5QE.
