Residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Hersden have been spreading Christmas cheer creating dashing card designs.
The team and residents at Meadow View Residential Care Home on Blackthorn Road rolled up their sleeves to showcase their creative talents, sprinkling stars and adding ribbon to their festive cards.
Resident, Iris Huckstep said: “I always enjoy making Christmas cards in the festive season and helping people.”
Activities leader at the home, Katherine Hammond added: “The residents really enjoyed making the Christmas cards.
“We listened to festive music too to get into the spirit. They are all really looking forward to handing their cards out to loved ones.”
Fun for all ages
The Blackthorn Road home, which provides residential and residential dementia care, will also be throwing open the doors to the local community as they host a number of festive treats for the whole family to enjoy, including:
- A Christmas Carol Concert complete with mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies on Tuesday 12 December from 1.45pm to 3pm.
- Christmas service with Peter Cornish on Wednesday 20 December at 2.30pm.
Speaking of the home’s upcoming Christmas events, Katherine added: “Our residents are so looking forward to welcoming people from the community, both new and familiar faces to our home.
“It really is a wonderful time of the year, and the team and residents at Meadow View can’t wait to spread festive cheer.”
