Hatfield care home embraces Silver Sunday

A Sanctuary Care home in Hertfordshire is gearing up to celebrate a nationwide event this weekend.
Fabulous fifties tea dance
There will be 50s frocks and an abundance of fabulous food when Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home in Tamblin Way hosts a 1950s celebration for Silver Sunday on 7 October.
Between 2pm and 4pm, there will be live entertainment and a delicious high tea menu for everyone to enjoy. There will also be fun dress up, as the team will be head to toe in fabulous fifties fashion for the rolled back occasion.
The home’s activities leader Kim Knight (pictured) said: “Silver Sunday is such a special day – it is all about our wonderful residents and older people in the local community and the contribution they make and have made over the years. In our opinion that should be celebrated in style, so please do join us for what promises to be a fabulous afternoon.”
The address for those wishing to attend is Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home, Tamblin Way, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9AX.
