There will be live music, fancy frocks and glitz and glam when a Sanctuary Care home in Yarnton celebrates Silver Sunday this week.
On Sunday 7 October, between 2pm to 4pm, older people from the local community and their families are invited to Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home in Rutten Lane, where the team and residents will be hosting a fabulous fifties Hollywood tea dance.
Live music, cakes and so much more!
There will be toe-tapping live entertainment from Abby Philpott who will be singing classic songs from across the decade. There will also be delicious high tea menu for everyone to enjoy, with a variety of finger sandwiches and cakes.
The team will also be stepping back in time as they dress in themed finery for the rolled back occasion, while the home will transform into a red carpet Hollywood scene.
Celebrating fabulous residents
The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader Becca Tudor-Price said: “Our residents really enjoy occasions like this, which are a celebration of older people throughout our community and the wonderful contributions they make. We are proud to bring everyone together in a joyous setting to celebrate how truly fabulous they are.”
The address for those wishing to attend is Rutten Lane, Yarnton OX5 1LW.
Yarnton’s Silver Sunday event comes as a double celebration for Sanctuary Care, which is marking the close of its 20 year anniversary celebrations of delivering care to residents.
