Wirral care home celebrates first ever Silver Sunday

There will be fancy frocks, victory rolls and fabulous entertainment when a Sanctuary Care home in Pensby, the Wirral celebrates Silver Sunday.
On Sunday 7 October, between 2pm and 4pm, older people from the local community and their families are invited to Ridgewood Court Residential Care Home in Ridgewood Drive, where the team and residents will be hosting a roaring forties tea dance.
Fancy frocks and entertainment
The home is throwing open the doors, with residents and the team welcoming the community to join them for live music from across the decade from the vintage ukulele duo, The Mersey Belles.
There will also be a delicious high tea menu for everyone to enjoy, with a variety of finger sandwiches and cakes – and the team will be picture perfect as they dress in themed attire for the rolled back occasion.
“…the perfect way to celebrate our wonderful residents…”
The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader Ashlea Kelly said: “This is our very first Silver Sunday celebration and our residents can’t wait to mark the special day. It really will be the perfect way to celebrate our wonderful residents, so we would love for as many people to join us for what promises to be great afternoon.”
The address for those wishing to attend is Ridgewood Drive, Pensby, Wirral CH61 8RA.
National celebrations
