We are so proud at Ashley House to live by our ethos of enriching lives and ensure our residents receive outstanding quality of care and feel happy, content and fulfilled.
We have our own pub, The Dog and Trumpet which often hosts ‘gents' evenings’ complete with a pub quiz and snacks.
For our residents who love a pamper session, we have our own salon and a mobile hairdresser who visits every week.
Upstairs there is a room dedicated to Namaste, which is a holistic approach to enhancing the well-being of older people living with dementia. Residents can relax and enjoy massages while listening to music and relaxing sounds in our sensory setting.
At Ashley House Care Home, our pets are well-loved additions to our home. Our lovely 15-year-old cat, Tilly, has been at Ashley House since she was a kitten. We also have a spritely budgie called Charlie.
Our garden is really flourishing at the moment, with the help of Sanctuary Care’s ‘Grow Your Own Way’ Project. Our green-fingered residents have been helping to plant seeds for herbs, vegetables and fruit! When fully grown, these will be used by our Bordon care home’s catering team in our daily nutritious menus.
Mealtimes at Ashley House Bordon
With our own chef, our residents enjoy delicious home-cooked meals. From fish and chip Friday to a Sunday roast with all the trimmings, mealtimes are a real highlight.
Sometimes living with dementia can affect an older person’s appetite and make it hard to make choices. With this in mind, at Ashley House, Bordon, our chef plates up beautifully presented dishes which are taken to residents at their table. They can visualise and smell the food which really encourages them to eat. There are always delicious homemade desserts and freshly-baked cakes for afternoon tea.

A highlight of every week at Ashley House, are our visits from local nursery children. The children always bring a smile to our residents’ faces, particularly our former schoolteachers. From puzzles, to singing and drawing our residents love getting involved in this beneficial intergenerational activity.
We also regularly have entertainers visit the home. For our residents’ spiritual needs, we host a range of religious services and 1-1 sessions.
Price information for Ashley House Care Home
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for this in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.
Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2024 weekly care fees for residential care at Ashley House Care Home start from £1,497 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.
