Everyone has the opportunity to participate in the social life of the home. Our residents’ hobbies are always actively encouraged and activities can be tailored to our residents’ individual needs and wishes.
We offer a wide variety of activities and entertainment including bingo, quizzes, a library service, exercise classes, gardening, themed nights and day trips.
The beautiful and well maintained gardens, with raised flower beds, are a delightful retreat, especially for those residents who enjoy a spot of gardening.
At Sanctuary Care we pride ourselves on employing the best staff and have stringent recruitment procedures in place. As an organisation, we invest in our staff and have our own Learning and Development Team who provide a wide range of training and personal development opportunities.
Our staffing levels meet all the requirements set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Following a recent external assessment, Sanctuary Care has retained the Investors in People accreditation for another three years. This is an international award that recognises how organisations utilise and develop their people.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
The CQC regulate the care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations. The aim is to make sure better care is provided for everyone - in hospitals, care homes and people's own homes.
The CQC also seek to protect the interests of people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act.
