High Peak Nursing Home, our care home in Warrington
The team at High Peak are what makes our care home in Warrington such a special place. So many have been with us for over a decade, providing residential, nursing, palliative and respite care. High Peak has such a welcoming atmosphere, there is a really warm, family feel the moment you walk through the door.
With period features, our care home has so much character including beautiful large gardens overlooking the rural Kenyon countryside.
What activities can I enjoy?
We believe in enriching the lives of our residents by supporting them to do the things they love to do. Often activities are very personal to them as individuals.
Some residents enjoy being pampered in the salon, while others prefer to relax with family and friends on the sun terrace. In the summer, the extensive gardens are alive with wildlife.
We organise lots of activities, from cream tea afternoons to music sessions. Our residents enjoy trips in our minibus, to places like Kenyon Hall Farm and Newbank Garden Centre. We are located on the outskirts of Warrington and Wigan, near Culcheth, so there are so many lovely places to visit.
Our platinum Gold Standards Framework award
We have achieved platinum status in the Gold Standards Framework, which recognises the extremely high standard of care given to residents at the end of life and in palliative care.
What is the food like at High Peak Nursing Home?
Mealtimes are a highlight of the day for our residents, who enjoy delicious home cooking. Chef Sarah is also a talented baker, with freshly-baked cakes, pastries and cookies served with afternoon tea. Sarah also spends time with our residents, discussing the menus and sharing ideas on dishes they would love to see.
Our residents lead the way
We support our residents to have a very active role to play in how their care home in Warrington is run. They do everything from welcoming new residents to sharing feedback with staff.
High Peak’s Good Care Quality Commission report
Rated Good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission, High Peak Nursing Home is highly respected in the local community. Our staff have excellent relationships with healthcare professionals, including at our GP surgery in Culcheth, a stone’s throw from Kenyon. We have our own dedicated GP, who provides an outstanding service and knows our residents and their needs.

Pricing information
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for this in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.
Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2024 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1,178 and for nursing care £1,593 but maybe in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.
