Our residential care home in St Austell
Woodland care home sits on the outskirts of St Austell – one of Cornwall’s largest towns. We have 38 bedrooms, with wet room ensuites available. Our residents can enjoy the peaceful views over our garden.
We pride ourselves on providing our residents with a space they can feel comfortable in – a place to call their own. We encourage residents to give their rooms a personal touch, with reminders of loved ones and special times.
The home features there separate lounges where residents gather to make plans for the day ahead, catch up with visiting loved ones or simply just relax with a good book. Residents can stay connected too, with Wi-Fi available.
One of the highlights of the day is undoubtedly when we get together for a hearty, home-cooked meal in the dining room. There’s rarely a morsel left on our plates when we’ve finished. Our team always gets plenty of compliments!
We love to make the most of a nice Cornish day. Our garden provides a nice spot to relax and enjoy the fresh coastal air. We have a vegetable patch too – which our residents take great pride in maintaining.
A person-centric care approach
Here, at Woodland, we care for people with different types of dementia and residential care needs. We take the time to build loving, meaningful and supportive relationships with our residents and their families, encouraging independence and individuality.
When a resident joins us to receive residential or dementia care in St Austell, we’ll work with them to develop a care plan that meets their individual needs. Our care plans evolve as requirements change.
We also offer a respite care service – designed to allow full-time carers to take a short break from their daily duties.
Our temporary residents receive the same level of support as our permanent residents, and they can enjoy our home’s facilities too. It allows carers to rest safe in the knowledge their loved one is receiving the dignified care they deserve.

Pricing information
Pricing information
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for this in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.
Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2024 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1353, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.
