Located next door to St John’s Church, our care home is tucked away in a residential area of Ipswich. There are many of the town’s stunning attractions including the marina, art galleries, theatre and restaurants just a short drive from the home.
Our residents are extremely proud of the vibrant community in which they live, with many ‘born and raised’ in Ipswich and Suffolk, so we do all that we can to support them to stay connected to the local area. Not only do we enjoy regular day trips in and around the town, but we also open our doors for celebratory events.
Safe admissions into our care homes include the option for new residents to self-isolate in their own home before joining us.
Our virtual tours enable you to find out more about life in our care home and ask any questions you may have to a senior member of our team.
Our home has a pre-bookable designated visiting space to enable families to visit their loved ones safely. Please contact our home directly to pre-book.
Throughout the year, we invite friends, families and even neighbours from across Ipswich and wide Suffolk area to join us for all sorts of care home celebrations. From summer fetes to Christmas fayres, scrumptious afternoon teas to annual awareness day celebrations and Care Home Open Day. For our last Silver Sunday celebration, we hosted a tea party with a rock n’ roll twist. We dusted off our leather jackets, a-line skirts and spent the afternoon singing and dancing to music from the 1950s and 1960s.
Our community events are the perfect way to support our residents to meet new friends. Those receiving residential care often comment on how their social life has never been so busy. And that’s the way we like it!
The team delivers an engaging activities plan, shaped by the passions and favoured pastimes of our wonderful residents. Some days you might see us enjoying a spot of animal therapy, while the next we could be baking. Some of our residents love to spend time singing, which can be wonderful for bringing back happy memories, particularly for those living with dementia.
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for their care in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions. Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to truly understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2021 weekly care fees for residential care start from £839 but may be in the region of 20% more*, dependent on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options. *If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support your weekly fee could be higher.
