Aashna House is an attractive care home located in a quiet residential area of London.
Situated in the centre of Streatham near shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, it is within walking distance of Streatham Common train station, ensuring the capital’s attractions are within easy reach.
Our dedicated team, who speak at least one Asian language as well as English, provide a range of care and support tailored to our residents’ cultural and spiritual needs, including residential care, dementia care and respite care.
Our care home has been designed with the usual comforts you’d expect such as a large, welcoming lounge area, enclosed gardens and cosy en-suite bedrooms, which provide a warm place for our residents to rest and relax.
Aashna House also has light and airy dining rooms where we serve delicious Asian cuisine, with separate kitchens for the preparation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
However it’s the small personal touches and our friendly team, who care for our residents as if they were members of their own family, which make Aashna House a true home from home.
We welcome visits from family and friends and have an open door policy, so whether loved ones like to pop in for a coffee or take part in an activity, we encourage them to become part of the community within our home.
We hold regular meetings for residents and relatives, enabling our residents and their loved ones to be directly involved in everyday life at Aashna House.
Our 38 spacious bedrooms all have en-suites and a kitchenette, as well as telephone and television points. We can also provide rooms for couples on request.
Bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished and we encourage our residents to bring personal ornaments, pictures and small items of furniture to make their rooms their own.
We have a homely lounge area for our residents to use as they wish, whether taking part in activities, catching up with friends and family or simply reading a good book.
Our dining rooms provide a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy delicious home-cooked Asian cuisine in the company of others.
The enclosed gardens are landscaped and provide the perfect setting for people to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.

To ensure we continue to provide the best standards of care and support to our residents, we recruit and train only the best staff.
Whilst they receive a variety of on-going training to ensure their skills remain up-to-date, along with an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB), it is their dedication to our residents which makes them truly special.
We believe it is important that our residents spend their time as they choose, so have a dedicated activities person to support them to take part in interesting activities, rekindle old past times and try new things.
Regular activities on offer include everything from reminiscence sessions, games, quizzes, performances by Bollywood dancers, arts and crafts, as well as religious festivals being celebrated throughout the year.
Our residents also take part in regular trips to the local day centre and nearby temples, as well as outings to the seaside.

Our catering team prides themselves on preparing nutritious, seasonal home-cooked Asian cuisine, along with mouth-watering Indian savouries for afternoon tea.
Residents help us to shape the menus and our catering team spends time with them to get feedback on the dishes and their likes and dislikes. They are also able to cater for a variety of dietary requirements.
Breakfast includes a wide variety of choice from cereals, fresh fruit and toast to a traditional cooked Asian breakfast.
Fresh hot meals are served at lunch and dinnertimes and our residents enjoy a variety of curries, as well as Saag Paneer and other vegetarian delights, all followed by traditional tasty sweets.
