Athlone House Nursing Home is situated in Westbourne Park in the London borough of Westminster, near Westbourne Park Tube Station.
Our dedicated team provides a range of care and support for our residents, including nursing care, palliative and dementia nursing care.
We welcome visits from family and friends and have an open door policy, so whether loved ones like to pop in for a coffee or take part in an activity, we encourage them to become part of the community within our home.
Our 23 spacious bedrooms are all en-suite and come with television points. We encourage our residents to make their rooms their own by bringing personal ornaments, pictures and even small items of furniture.
With lounges and an activities room, there are plenty of areas for our residents to use as they wish, whether they enjoy catching up with friendly faces, taking part in activities or simply reading a good book.
In the dining rooms our residents enjoy nutritious, home-cooked meals, with Halal and Kosher cuisine available.
Outside there is a large landscaped garden with a patio area and seating.
Athlone House’s features include:
- Spacious en-suite bedrooms with television points
- Several lounge areas and dining rooms
- Fresh home-cooked meals, with Halal and Kosher available

Our care team is on-hand 24 hours a day, every day of the year and staff are dedicated to delivering care with kindness.
To ensure we continue to provide the highest standards of care and support to our residents, we recruit and train only the best staff.
Whilst they receive a variety of on-going training to ensure their skills remain up-to-date, along with an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB), it is their dedication to our residents which makes them truly special.
We believe it is important that our residents spend their time as they choose, so we have a dedicated activities person to support them to take part in interesting activities, rekindle old past times and try new things.
Activities on offer include everything from massage, aromatherapy and Namaste, live music, arts and crafts and baking, to tea parties and light exercise.
We pride ourselves on treating people as individuals, so all our residents have care plans tailored to their individual medical, social and emotional needs. We review care plans on a regular basis and involve family and friends in this process wherever possible.
The range of personal care services we can provide, in partnership with local professionals, include:
- Optical care
- Occupational therapist
- Social services
- Speech therapy
- Key worker
