Kintyre Care Home, Invergordon
Located in the port of Invergordon in Easter Ross, Kintyre House has beautiful views across Cromarty Firth. But it’s the team, who are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, that make this feel like a warm, family home.
Providing residential care, dementia and respite care, the team support their residents to have a very active role to play in how their home is run. Kintyre House’s resident ambassadors do everything from running their own knitting club to welcoming visitors to their home.
Inside our Invergordon care home
Kintyre House Care Home, Invergordon has a large conservatory and gardens overlooking Cromarty Firth, where cruise ships often dock.
The home’s car park has a gate leading to the Saltburn Community Gardens, which has a wheelchair-friendly woodland walk. And the home is surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Most of the spacious bedrooms have en-suite showers and some of the ground floor rooms have doors leading to the garden.
The care home also has a mobile shop that sells toiletries, sweets and everyday items.
Activities at Kintyre Care Home, Invergordon
Kintyre House has a team of activities coordinators who support the residents to do the things that bring them joy. They run activities which are tailored to the residents individually, as well as social group activities.
From flower arranging, crafts, dancing and live music, to pub lunches and trips out in the home’s minibus, there is so much to do.
The residents love to visit local landmarks and attractions. From the villages around Easter Ross to the theatre in Inverness and Shandwick House in Tain, with its ostriches, peacocks and alpacas.
And there are so many beaches around Balintore and Dornoch to enjoy with a picnic.
Food glorious food
Our head chef provides our residents with delicious home-cooked cuisine. The daily menu delivers tasty options for individual dietary requirements and also lighter bites for those with smaller appetites.
Our residents love to visit their fellow residents at Sanctuary Care’s nearby Invergordon care home for a spot of lunch and live entertainment.

Pricing Information
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for their accommodation in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.
Our 2024 weekly room fee starts from £1,241 but may be up to 30% more. This depends on the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms to our premium bedroom options.
