Kintyre team delighted with CI report

The team and residents at our Kintyre House home in Invergordon are celebrating the home’s recent Care Inspectorate (CI) report.
Kintyre House Care Home in Saltburn has received four ‘Good’ ratings in its recent report following an unannounced inspection, which were for how well the team support people’s wellbeing, and the quality of the leadership, the quality of the staffing team, and how well care and support is planned.
The report highlighted how “relatives were confident in the care and support their loved ones received” and “people had formed strong, trusting relationships with the staff team who worked well together”.
The team of staff were praised for being “respectful, friendly” and having a “positive outlook” which “made the environment feel welcoming.”
There was also praise for how well the residents’ care and support is planned, with care plans up to date, detailed and regularly reviewed.
Inspectors also noted how staff worked closely with external healthcare professionals to support their residents’ wellbeing.
Comments from residents and families included “meals are delicious”, with food quality of a good standard.
Nicola Miller, who took over as home manager in January, said: “We are very proud of this report, which highlights the enormous progress we have made. Our team is devoted to enriching the lives of our residents and their loved ones and we are thrilled that our continuous improvements have been recognised by the Care Inspectorate”.
