Sanctuary Care has got the gold!

Neil Quinn and Sarah Clarke-Kuehn with Sanctuary Care's Investors in People Award

The team at leading not-for-profit care provider Sanctuary Care are celebrating after being awarded Investors in People (IiP) Strong Gold status.

IiP is an internationally recognised mark of good practice focussed on how organisations care for their employees, recognise their contributions and nurture their abilities and skills.

Among the report’s many highlights, senior leadership is described as “inspirational and enabling”.

Sarah Clarke-Kuehn, Chief Operating Officer - Care, said: “I'm delighted we've achieved this prestigious recognition for our colleagues. This is a real testament to the commitment and dedication of all our hardworking teams and their collective efforts to be their best. It's wonderful to hear that we are enriching the lives of our colleagues as well as our residents.

“I'd like to say a big thank you and well done to everyone involved."

The report also praised how the organisation’s “passion for making a difference for residents every day is evident”.

Another highlight described a “strong commitment from a cohesive leadership team for a more enabling culture and coordinated strategy to evolve how you manage and develop people and ensure everyone is personally engaged with the principles of Enriching Lives”.

Other highlights to be proud of were:

-Universal pride and passion in the organisation and the difference staff make for residents and their families

-Transparency about plans and decisions

-Career progression opportunities and support

-The wide range of benefits available to staff including awards, discounts and healthcare support

-Wellbeing support and tools, including mental health support

-Collaboration, with people in all roles working together to achieve common outcomes

-Embedded and evolving performance culture based on refreshed values and behaviours

Colleagues across Sanctuary Care were given the opportunity to complete an online questionnaire, with an IiP assessor visiting a selection of our care homes across England and Scotland, as well as meeting with various members of the Sanctuary Care head office teams.
