Double awards victory for Sanctuary Care
The team and residents at Sanctuary Care are celebrating after we scooped a double awards victory.
At the Care Home Awards 2025, Sanctuary Care was named Outstanding Larger Group Care Provider, as well as winning the Best for Training and Development Award.
Sarah Clarke-Kuehn, Chief Operating Officer, said of the double victory:
“We are beyond proud - these wins are a true testament to our unwavering dedication to continually enrich the lives of our residents, their loved ones and the amazing staff who have the privilege of caring for them.”
One of many highlights of the Outstanding Larger Group Care Award nomination was Sanctuary Care’s unique Enriching Lives Framework, which staff use to support their residents to feel a sense of belonging, continuity, purpose, achievement, significance and security.
When it comes to Training and Development, the nomination revealed how the provider’s passion for the wellbeing, happiness, and personal growth of its staff, translated directly to exceptional care.
Other highlights of the nominations include:
- Sector-leading Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate ratings
- Co-production being integral to how Sanctuary Care’s homes are run
- The annual Chefs’ Conference, sharing and inspiring creativity
- Training packages bespoke to the individual homes, reflecting their unique needs, culture, residents and staff.
- Grow Your Own Way initiative, where residents grow and nurture their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, which they harvest for the chefs to use in the kitchen
- Upskilling programmes – developing career pathways
- Specialist neurodiversity training
- Exceptional mental health support for staff
- Clinical training programme for carers and team leaders
