Heritage, Heart and Helping Others: Roksana's Story

As part of South Asian Heritage Month, we're celebrating Roksana Senanayake, our Business Development Manager for the West Midlands, whose Sri Lankan heritage has helped shape the values she brings to her role every day.

Having grown up in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, Roksana was raised with strong values of kindness, humility, compassion, and respect for older generations. Those early lessons sparked a passion for helping others, and she even dreamed of working in care from a young age. Now, three years into her journey with Sanctuary Care, 

Roksana supports our homes, residents, families, and communities, helping to create meaningful experiences and lasting connections. Outside of work, she continues to celebrate her heritage through traditional Sri Lankan dance, which she teaches to children, and by sharing her love of cooking with family and friends.

Reflecting on her career, Roksana says: "What I love most about my role is knowing that, in some way, I'm helping to make a positive difference in people's lives."
